I have always found it interesting to wander through the Google Zeitgeist list and see on which topics people are searching. Since starting this blog, I have found that wandering through the referral links on my stat counter page was also an interesting look into how people were finding me. More than anything else, I have found that my unfortunate mis-spelling of "Forest Gump" (correct version has two "r"s) has brought me more traffic than I deserve. For a period of time I was the number one link, but have since been shuffled toward the bottom of the page.
Yesterday I found the most interesting of all the search queries that would bring traffic to my site. The link is:
Given the state of the national debate on whether or not we should be in Iraq, I found this search term most interesting. Now there is no guarantee that this person who performed this search, and ended up at my site, was set to deploy to Iraq, but it is a pretty reasonable assumption. Unfortunately for this person, I clearly don't have any information for them on how to get out of deploying. I just thought it an interesting search query that I would share with you the readers.
