I come your way via Poppa Large... I'm a bit fascinated with all these wive's tales about gender. We just had our boy eight weeks ago and I didn't do much pondering of that sort until I already knew the sex. Actually, I had just finished reading Middlesex around the time of the first sonogram which just made me hope the gender was identifiable. Enjoy the sonogram. That's some wild technology.

You all made me wish I'd started my belly shots earlier. I didn't get in gear until Week 22. NExt time, perhaps.

My unscientific polling has shown that women have more morning sickness with girls. (Having one of each, I concur. I felt fine physically while pregnant with my son (albeit tired), but was very nauseous early on when pregnant with my daughter.)
